My singing saved the Roman Empire. 

 

Let me explain...

 

My first lead was in Handel’s opera, Julius Caesar at Toronto’s Robert Gill Theatre.

 

I began my career on stage as a petite, 5’1 female, lower voiced Opera Singer and was often called upon to play men on stage (it’s an opera convention that my height did not lend itself kindly to), hence saving the Roman Empire. #littlewarrior 

 

While Opera took me to amazing places, be it Canada’s Banff Center for the Arts, Austria’s Institute of Musical Studies, or NYC’s Dell’Arte Opera I eventually found my happy place: On camera.

 

Career highlights include:

✦Starring as the compassionate therapist alongside Academy-Award nominee Eric Roberts in Andronicus, with Kinematics.

 

✦Winner! Best Actress win for my work as a neurotic but deeply loving daughter in Grey Machine Films, My Dad and Bob Todd (which was awarded Official Selection status at over 20 film festivals across the US)

 

✦Joining the cast for the Off-Broadway premiere of Tony Award nominee Dave Malloy and Jason Craig’s Beardo, with the Pipeline Theatre Company. 

 

✦ Modeling for Lancôme, Dr. Brandt, and Proven Skincare -dream companies for me to work for.

✦ Rebecca’s non-profit work includes co-founding and a 5 years tenure as the Artistic Director of the NEMPAC Opera Project, an opera company in Boston dedicated to providing opportunities for the Boston classical music community as well as working towards making classical music accessible to all.

​Forever a singer, when not on-screen I can be found belting anything from Jazz standards to the latest Musical Theatre tune in my apartment (so far, no complaints from the neighbors 🙌) and am currently manifesting a movie musical in my future.
